Today I finished Act 3 Scene ii of The Senseless Counterfeit. I'm considering a couple of structural modifications to the play as a whole:-
(1) Act 3 to consist of four rather than five scenes.
(2) Act 5 to be cut from five relatively short scenes, to one or two very long scenes.
I anticipate completion around the end of October. I'd like it to be sooner, as I'm keen to get back to writing Odour Issues. That said, I've really enjoyed writing my first ever play. In fact, I've germinated an idea for a second play. The Modern Malcontent will be about an angry twerp - a character type abounding in Bristol - and will be written in the style of a Restoration Comedy, or perhaps imitating Molière.
